Katashi knives are made by master blacksmiths from ultra-premium Japanese VG10 damascus clad steel. While crafting your blade, 67 sheets of steel are fused using a time-tested 2000-year-old forging technique. Our process has been perfected giving you beauty and world-class performance that only Katashi knives can offer.

True 67 layer damascus clad steel (VG10 Cutting Edge with 66 Damascus Clad Layers) and Rockwell Hardness of HRC 62 utilizing the San Mai Method. The softer outer layers protect the much harder cutting core allowing for an excellent edge without the fear of a brittle knife. You get the best of both worlds, performance and durability.
Katashi blades are authentic damascus clad and (unlike our competitors) never use acid etching or lasering to create patterns. After our steel has been folded and sandwiched, we apply our refined sandblasting technique to guarantee the damascus has a beautiful finish and is absolutely smooth to the touch.

This Limited Lifetime Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period. During the Warranty Period, Katashi will replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
